  • You may add pictures of the job you chose, but you need to answer the questions exactly as I have them.

    Assignment is worth 300 points

  1. You will need to ask a relative, friend of the family, someone you know etc., the questions about their job/career.  They do not need to answer the salary/pay question if they do not feel comfortable. Instead maybe they could tell you the average starting pay rate.

  • You will be presenting your findings to the class in the form of a Google Slide presentation.

100 points - Homework - interview someone at home. If they choose not to answer a question like wage/salary put N/A.
Since this is probably the only homework assignment of the year, if you forget to do it you will will
receive zero credit.  You will still need to do it to get the other 200 points for this assignment.

    • A place for the number of the gift certificate. (this is another way to help keep track of how many were issued) For example #154

    • Delete anything on the gift certificate that is not relevant to the assignment

    Read the scenario below.  Use Google to research the answers. You do not have a specific budget for this, but you do want to save money when you can.  Create a Google Slides presentation in which you address all the questions below. Any music, backgrounds and graphics must be about Hawaii. 

    Addiseone and Emiilious are planning a trip to Hawaii to visit their dad who lives in Honolulu. They would like to spend 10 nights on the island.  They will need to fly from somewhere in New York State or Vermont to Honolulu Hawaii.  At the very minimum they would like to visit the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, attend a luau, and go on a snorkeling tour. Be sure to include dates for everything!

  • Each numbered question below will be on its own slide. You will lose 50% on the project if you do not do this. 

  • Spelling -10 points per misspelled word!  Late projects will lose 400 points!

  1. Using and modifying a template, create a game day advertisement for an upcoming sporting event at Boquet Valley. It must be from one of the following sports - Baseball, Softball, or Track & Field

  • Requirements

    • 20 pts. - Include the words - Home Game, name of sport​, and level (Mod, JV, Var)

    • 20 pts. - Include both teams name (ex. Boquet Valley Griffins, )

    • 50 pts. - Include both teams mascot (look on the other schools websites for their mascot. Our mascot Black Mascot : Blue Mascot : Mascot with words Canva has a feature under Effects to make the logo transparent)

    • 20 pts. - Day of the week spelled out (Tuesday, Friday, etc.)

    • 20 pts. - Date (Spelled out - ex. May 5)

    • 10 pts. - Time (ex. 4:30 pm)

    • 10 pts. - Location (Peru High School, Mountain View Campus, etc.

The easiest way to calculate your gas mileage is to simply divide the number of miles traveled by the number of gallons of gas your vehicle took to refill. In sum, that's miles driven divided by gallons of gas used.

Total miles driven to and from destination divided by the miles per gallon your vehicle gets multiplied by the price of gas.

      2. Second, research three different Internet job posting sites and find out how much it will cost to post a want ad for potential employees.  Explain what you will get for your money.  This should be organized into a three column chart and inserted into Slides or PowerPoint. (100 points)

      3. This is to be completed in a PowerPoint presentation.   Slides/PowerPoint Grade - Color 25 points, Transitions 25 points, Titles on each slide 25 points, Slide design 25 points, TOTAL (100 points)
        Spelling 10 points each misspelled word.

    This is an individual assignment.  Late projects are NOT an option.  If it is not saved into Course Files or shared with me, I will not be able to grade it and it will be counted as late.
